This picture shows Ron painting one of his house plaques. He is painting the requested picture and words onto a raw clay plaque which he will then cover with a clear glass glaze before "cooking" it with a kiln firing to the high porcelain ware temperature. This melts the glass glaze over the painting beneath, turns the clay into it's hard "rock" form which makes the final plaque totally weather and wear resistant.
